I feel so much better after having seen our Perinatal doctor, Dr. Korotkin, they did a measurement and my cervix (as usual) and measured the baby. My cervix is still 3.5 cm and baby’s estimated weight is 4.5 lbs! This is going to be a big baby!!! He is very happy with the way things are going. I’m still nervous, I guess I will be until we get past 34 weeks (The point when Hollis delivered) I’ve been taking it easy, not walking too much or doing too much. I am nesting thought. Getting the nursery ready for baby and the rest of the house too! I’ve forgotten how much stuff there is!
So this is day 2 of Hollis being in her big girl room in a big girl bed. So far she has cried through 2 naps at the door of her room and 1 night crying at the door until Eric went in and laid down with her until she fell asleep. She woke up last night at 130am and began to cry again, so Eric went back in to settle her down and she wouldn’t let him go. He ended up staying with her the whole night. We are hoping and praying this transition is like it was when we took her pacifier away when she was 6 months old- 2 real tearful days and then 1 day of whimpers then it was over.
It’s no fun listening to her cry out. She is so tired. But, with the baby due in 10 weeks this challenge needs to be completed. Even if we got another crib, she still would be in a new room… tears either way.
I’m glad it’s Friday and a long weekend for Eric.
So I’ve now gained 35 pounds!! Wow, I think I’m going to beat the 42 lbs that I gained with Hollis. I have a sweet tooth that just won’t quite!!
My cervix is now about 3 cm, still closed. Two weeks ago our perinatal measured me and it was 3.86 cm Long and closed. So, my cervix is shrinking and she also noticed that it is softening. She’s not ready to put me on bed rest just yet but I’m not suppose to walk if I don’t need too. I can still take care of Hollis, pick her up, take her to the park ect… just no jogging (like I do that anyway!) or sex for the near future. I’ll see her again next week and then the perinatal a week after that and he’ll be able to give an exact measurement.
No need for panic, just pray that my body can hold on for AT LEAST 6 more weeks.
Who would have thought that pooping in a potty would be such a big deal!?! We’ll it is! Hollis pooped in the potty! We made a big deal about it and took pictures. She thought that we were crazy… We are but, we are so proud of her. I think that we are on our way to potty training!

Such a wonderful celebration this Easter weekend has been.We went to Good Friday service at church and then to Rathbun’s with Molly & Todd. Saturday we had an egg hunt (inside, because the lawn was still soaked from the night before) with Emily, Radford, Karin & Gressett. It was so fun to watch the kids figure out what the hunt was all about. So cute!! And today, Easter, being together as a family and being thankful.

We got to visit with Beth, Tim, Tori & Matt for a few hours whole they were on their way back to Ohio from Orlando. This was the first time they had met Hollis but you would have thought that she saw them everyday. It makes me miss not being closer, or not having them closer to us. We’ve always had a bond between us and it is obvious that it will carry through to the next generation of Jones’ kids.

So Hollis didn’t want to eat her dinner the other night. And with that her oh so creative mother brought Elmo to the table. For those of you who have been around Hollis the past few weeks you know Elmo is pretty cool in her world. Well it turns out the Elmo really enjoys Bison meatloaf (I mean come on WHO doesn’t!?!) After Elmo had a bite or two Hollis was sold. Thanks Elmo!

BabyA2 20 weeks
Oh sweet baby! I love to see how it’s growing!
Everything went well to day with our Perinatal doctor. We’ll see him again in 4 weeks.

Amazing! Snow in Georgia the 1st of March! And it stuck! (Well for a day)
Hollis really enjoyed watching it fall being in the snow wasn’t her favorite she started crying after a few minutes. Eric and I had fun playing in it and the dogs LOVED it!!
Add 2 more pounds to the tally! The check up went just fine. She did a cervix check, which she will do monthly until the baby arrives. Fun fun for me! They check it via the ultrasounds too but I guess they can feel if it’s softening manually. Softening is bad until 36 weeks then it can soften…
Eric has been giving me progesterone shots weekly, started at 16 weeks and will until 36 weeks. It’s amazing a 3 inch needle doesn’t hurt!
We’ll see her again in 4 weeks, March 25th.
Nana took us all to the Big Apple Circus! It was great! Thanks again Diane!
The acrobats, horses & dog shows were all amazing! Hollis sat for 2 hours in amazement. Best of all Eric got pulled into the circus ring by a clown! video of that at our Vimeo link. Check it out! He did a great job.

Oh yes, another doctors appointment. This one was pretty uneventful. They took more blood for the finishing blood work for the NT test. I’ve gained another 5 pounds. 10 total so far. Other than that my white blood count from last month was up a little so she is going to keep an eye on that. It was probably from a cold I had. ( I have another one now!) I’ll be seeing her again in 2 weeks.

We had our 16 week check up with Dr. Korotkin today. Everything went well. He said that my uterus and the baby look healthy. He started me on progesterone shots today as well. Eric is going to give me a shot of progesterone every week until we are 36 weeks. Pray that we make it that far! Hollis was 34.5 weeks when she was born. Eric is a champ at shots, the nurse gave us a tutorial about it but when she asked if we’d ever given shot before we both said ‘to dogs’ and she said ‘oh you’ll be fine then’, funny. It didn’t hurt at all and I thought that it would considering that the needle is 3 inches long!! Tomorrow I meet with our OBGYN and Eric gets on a plane to California! It’s a big week in the Andreen house.
Wednesday we had a doctors appointment with a Perinatal dr. he did an ultrasound and measured the fluid around the baby as well as the thickness of the skin behind the babies neck and took blood samples. It’s a genetic test but also helps them keep a closer eye on what is going on with the baby, since I’m high risk (because Hollis was 6 weeks early and I’m not as young as I use to be). I’ll be seeing Dr. Korotkin throughout the pregnancy as well as my regular obgyn Dr. Glander.
Anyway, everything looked good to him. We’ll get the results of the lab work this week or next.
Thursday we had our 12 week work up with our OBgyn Dr. Glander. I’ve gained 6 pounds already! (I’m showing too!) Everything looks good.
I’ll be starting progesterone shots in 4 weeks to help prevent pre-term labor. Dr. Korotkin explained it the the progesterone helps to stabilize the uterus.

Guarded by the pulley dog and protected by pampers! Gotta love being a toddler!!

She is such a joy! I love that she is so happy to be with us & Nanna and to play with paper! I hope that we can instill in her that it’s not about what she receives this time of year but the unending gift that we all received, the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate our Saviors birth.

It’s amazing how 1 week makes such a difference with a fetus. We saw the heart beat blinking. Truly amazing!
We are 6.3 days along and are due July 27, 2009!
I am truly thankful that Linda’s surgery went well and she is thru her last hurdle in her battle with breast cancer. Her port has been removed. She is in recovery. She is such a brave strong woman. I’m so lucky to have her in my life, in our lives. I’m thankful that she and Dad are in site of the finish line. Life is good.
What do you get when you put a duck in a chicken in a turkey? Well Turducken of course!
Not going anywhere this year for a few reasons, one being that Gracie Blue had an ACL replacement 2 days before Thanksgiving we decided with a few other good friends to gorge ourselves.
We had so much fun with the Harrells & the Sandstroms. Thanks guys

We had our first appointment with Dr. Glander (our OBGYN) today. We are a week behind where we thought we were so she really couldn’t get a good picture or heart beat yet. She wants us to come back next week for another exam.
Our neighbors/Friends/small group buddies had their first son last night.
Jackson Siler Kidd 7.5lbs 20inches long. We are so happy for you all and glad that he is here! Congratulations Mary Lynn & Colby!!! www.twitter.com/babykidd
We can’t wait to meet him!

I am truly a horrible blogger. I am. I put this blog up thinking oh I’ll journal it’ll be fun. Well this is now my 3rd post. I suck.
We really have had a lot of fun interesting things going on this month. Halloween, we went to the zoo with the Harrells & Dawn and Bella; we went to a Halloween party at the Kidds.
We went to a Hockey game! Thrashers won!
Hollis started walking! November 1st were her first steps. Now she is really getting the hang of it.
Hollis is also cutting most of her teeth in her upper bridge. That has got to hurt!!
So like I said, I suck at blogging but still having fun.

We just found out that we are expecting our second child! It’s very exciting. Hollis and 2 will be 24 months apart.
After reading all of our very creative friends blogs and feeling like a slacker I have finally put this together. We’ll see how it goes!
